Messiah Stays Perfect with Win over Arcadia

Women's swimming beat Arcadia this afternoon 153-109. The Falcons won multiple events on the day courtesy of Sophie Schulze, Lauren Mock, Katelyn Boyce, Lainey Flanagan and Erin Goudie as well as others in team relays. The Falcons are back in action on November 13 when they travel to Lycoming to face the Warriors.
 
Messiah defeats Arcadia 153-109

To start the day off the 200 Medley Relay team of Sophie Schulze, Abigail Soerens, Erin Goudie and Lainey Flanagan won with a time of 1:54.06 to earn a quick 11 points for Messiah.
 
Sophie Schulze turned around and got another nine points for Messiah, winning the 1000 Freestyle event, ending with a time of 11:30.57. Later in the afternoon, Schulze won the 500 Freestyle, timing in at 5:31.43.
 
Next, Lauren Mock won the 200 Freestyle event over teammate Marie Hagemaster, finishing with a time of 2:05.31.
 
Then it was Katelyn Boyce winning the 200 Butterfly, clocking in at 2:21.80, which was seven seconds faster than teammate Emma Pequignot. Boyce would later win the 200 IM finishing with a time of 2:18.39.
 
Lainey Flanagan added to her day with a 200 Backstroke victory, finishing with a time of 2:18.42.
 
Erin Goudie won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:02.00 to add nine more points to the Falcons score.
 
On the final event of the day for the women, the 200 Freestyle team of Lainey Flanagan, Marie Hagemaster, Erin Goudie and Sophie Schulze won with a time of 1:44.09.
