BALTIMORE, Md. – The Messiah women's outdoor track and field team had a pair of student-athletes in action on Tuesday with
Taylor Wiederrecht and
Lila Goodhile competing in the Hopkins Charm City Invitational. Wiederrecht turned in a new season-best mark in the high jump with a height of 1.68 meters, placing first in the event on the day and turning in the 15th-best mark in the country this season.
With her jump, Wiederrecht will most likely qualify for the Division III National Championship meet later this month. The official list of National Qualifiers will come out in the coming days.
Lila Goodhile was also in action on Tuesday, competing in the javelin. Her distance of 33.74 meters placed her third in the event.
The next event on the schedule for the Falcons is the Division III National Championship Meet heading into Memorial Day Week, from May 27-29. Check GoMessiah.com later in the month for complete information on the Championship and what Messiah student-athletes qualify for the Championships.
