RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its list of teams named to its Scholar All-America team on Tuesday afternoon as both the Messiah men's and women's swimming team received the academic accolade. The men and women posted team GPAs of 3.41 and 3.32 respectively to be named to the Scholar All-America team.
The CSCAA Executive Director, Greg Earhart, noted "Coach McComb is one of our sports' up-and-comers and you're seeing it here. These 31 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Messiah and the Middle Atlantic Conference could ask for.
Through earning a team GPA of 3.3 or higher, both the Messiah men's and women's swimming teams are now eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The Falcons, who proven to be successful in both the classroom and in the pool, face an important stretch of their 2021-22 schedule. Messiah hosts a home dual this Saturday, Jan. 29, against Misericordia University and Albright College before competing in the MAC Championships (Feb. 10-13).
