GRANTHAM, PA – Women's swimming beat Albright College 164-89 and Misericordia University 139-122 to finish the year at 10-2. Messiah got timely wins from
Rachel Bruns,
Erin Goudie and
Katelyn Boyce to claim the wins on the afternoon.
The women will compete in the MAC Championships from February 10-13, in York, Pa.
Messiah goes 2-0 on the Afternoon
Rachel Bruns started the day for the Falcons and won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.18, beating teammate
Lauren Cotton by a second at 1:11.63.
Then
Erin Goudie won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:19.38, just ahead of teammate
Katelyn Boyce at 2:20.32.
Evangeline Soerens won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.71 ahead of teammate
Abigail Soerens who finished two seconds later at 2:34.28.
Katelyn Boyce won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:17.80 for the final win of the day for Messiah and clinched the overall team win as well. Messiah beat Misericordia 139-22 and also beat Albright 164-89.
