Women's Swim Takes Care of Quad Meet in Chester, Earn Three Wins

CHESTER, PA. - The Messiah women's swim team competed well this afternoon in West Chester in their quad meet against Widener, King's and Hood. They picked up three wins beating Widener 131-72, King's 168-16 and Hood 165-29. The Falcons commanded most of the events on the day to earn the three wins to move their record to 6-0 on the year.

Messiah got off to a great start with a 200 Medley Relay win with the team of Schad, Evageline Soerens, Goudie and Flanagan who finished with a time of 1:55.55. The Falcons got the top three spots in the 200 Free with Hagemaster, Flanagan and Schulze finishing at the top. Hagemaster timed in with a time of 2:02.12. Katelyn Boyce finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:55.75 as Messiah took the top three spots in that event as well.

Next, it was Caitlin Ross who won the 200 Back with a time of 2:19.48. Hagemaster added a win in the 500 Free for the Falcons finishing ahead of teammates Cotton and Hake who picked up second and third in the same event. Hagemaster timed in with a 5:33.28. Lexi Lovern gave the Falcons another win in the 200 Breaststroke (2:33.80) finishing ahead of Evageline Soerens and Boyce. In the final event, the 200 Free Relay team of Ross, Hagemaster, Mock and Abigail Soerens won with a time of 1:44.68.

The Falcons will host Arcadia University on Saturday, November 5, at 1:00 PM in Grantham, Pa. That meet will take place in Fredricksen Natatorium.
