Men's Swim Edges Knights on Final Relay in Thrilling Fashion

The Messiah men's swim team edged out the Arcadia Knights this afternoon 132-130 to improve to 7-0 on the year. The Falcons ended a 25 dual meet Division III winning streak that the Knights had held up until today. PJ Cronauer led the way with 27 points and three event wins while Isaac McCabe chipped in with 22 points.
 
The Falcons will travel to Dallas, Pa. for the Cougar Splash Invitational on November 18-19 for their next action.
 
Action
Cronauer got his first win in the 200 Free timing in with a time of 1:48.62. Cronauer tacked on his second win in the 100 Free with a time of 49.61 and would later add his third win via the 500 Free with a time of 4:56.59.
 
Avery Barley won the 100 Back with a time of 54.77 and then a couple events later it was Mark Lukens winning the 50 Free in 22.43. McCabe won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:14.30 and later won the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.10. The final event of the day gave the Falcons the win after the 400 Free Relay team of Lukens, Sobek, Yellets and Cronauer edged out Arcadia by .25 hundredths of a second, finishing with a time of 3.18.38. The relay win gave the Falcons the overall win 132-130.

The win brings the Falcons record to 7-0 and they will swim in the Cougar Splash Invitational on Nov. 18-19 in Dallas, Pa.
