SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Messiah women's track and field team was in action today at Susquehanna University in the Jim Taylor Invitational to begin its 2022 outdoor season.
Amanda Brown,
Leah Ferster, and
Lila Goodhile represented the Falcons today in Selinsgrove, Pa. Brown competed in the hammer throw, Goodhile competed in shot put, while Ferster competed in both the hammer throw and shot put.
Shot Put
Both Goodhile and Ferster competed in the shot put for Messiah in a competitive field of 47 throwers. Goodhile placed 22nd overall, earning a top mark of 9.84m, while Ferster placed 28th overall with a mark of 9.52m. Saint Francis' Adrian Page topped all competition with a top distance of 12.85m.
Hammer Throw
Brown represented the Falcons in the hammer throw. Brown competed in a field of 53 throwers, placing 23rd overall. With a mark 34.00m, Brown issued a strong performance, as Misericordia's Brenna Karnish earned the first-place finish with a top mark of 52.24m.
