Small Crew Performs Well at LVC Invitational

ANNVILLE, Pa. – A limited number of Messiah student-athletes were in action on Friday night at the 2023 LVC Dutchmen Indoor Meet. Nathan Kimmel led the effort on Friday evening for Messiah with a victory in the 800 Meter.
 
Kimmel was one of five Falcons competing on Lebanon Valley on Friday. His victory in the 800 Meter came in a time of 2:06.26. He also earned a fourth-place finish in the Mile, turning in a time of 4:44.65.
 
Messiah had two competitors in the 3000 Meter on the men's side. Jackson Hazen finished in eighth place with a time of 10:12.30 and Sam Rasinske finishing with a mark of 10:40.16 in 10th place.
 
Joshua Horst finished the prelims for the 55 Meter in 10th place with a time of 7:01.
 
On the women's side, Natalie Hamlen was the lone Falcon in action. She competed in the Pentathlon, finishing in second place of four competitors. She finished with 2,145 points while scoring north of 400 points in three different events. Hamlen claimed 541 points in the 800 Meter (2:42.79), 439 points in the 55 Meter Hurdles (10.82), and 429 points in the High Jump (1.32 meters).
 
The Falcons will be back in action next weekend when they head to Houghton University on Saturday, Jan. 21.
