GLENSIDE, Pa – The Messiah University men's swim team dropped a Friday night dual at Arcadia University. The Knights defeated the Falcons 158-100. The Falcons totaled 12 top-three finishes on the night with six gold medals.
PJ Cronauer and
Sage Sobek led the Falcons with two first-place finishes each.
Up next, the Falcons travel to Dallas, Pa for the Cougar Splash Invitational hosted by Misericordia University. The first day of the meet is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17 at 6:00 p.m., with day two beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18.
How It Happened
The Falcons started the meet strong with a first-place finish from
PJ Cronauer in the 1000 free with a time of 10:20.67. Cronauer also finished first in the 500 free with a time 4:54.71.
The Falcons continued to have a strong start to the meet with a first-place finish from
Sage Sobek in 200 free with a time of 1:50.52. Sobek also added a first-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 50.55.
The next race
Avery Barley added a first-place finish in the 100 back with a time of 54.73. Barley also finished third in the 200 back with a time of 2:06.71.
Aedan Wilkinson had a strong day in the pool with a first-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 55.57. Wilkinson also added a second-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 22.36.
Nathan Book finished second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.97 and also finished third in the 200 breast with a time 2:28.12.
Ben Clarke and
Dylan Yellets both finished with a third-place finish each. Yellets finished third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.57. Clarke came in third in the 100 fly with a time of 59.51.
The Falcons finished the meet strong with a gold medal in the 400 free relay. The team of
Sage Sobek,
PJ Cronauer,
Avery Barley, and
Aedan Wilkinson finished with a time of 3:20.28.
