AUSTIN, Texas – On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators announced their Academic All-American teams for the 2023 men's soccer season. Among the student-athletes named was Messiah goalkeeper
Adam Carter. With a Third-Team honors, Carter becomes the 17th player in program history to be named a CSC Academic All-American.
In later November, Carter was one of six members of the Messiah men's soccer team to be named Academic All-District. Both his Academic All-District and Academic All-American honors are the first of Carter's career.
On the field, Carter finished the season with a 0.30 goals-against average, 27 saves, .818 save percentage, and 11 shutouts. Carter started in every game for the Falcons and made it difficult for teams to score with a number of timely saves.
In the classroom, Carter carries a 3.81 cumulative GPA as an English major.
