Men's and Women's Swimming Earns Academic All-District Honors

AUSTIN, Texas – Last week the College Sports Communicators (CSC) honored a number of Messiah student-athletes with the announcement of the Academic All-District teams for men's and women's swimming. Among the honorees were eight Messiah student-athletes with four from both the men's' and women's swimming programs.
 
The eight honorees from last week's Academic All-District accolades are now eligible for Academic All-American honors that will be announced next week.
 
Women's Swimming
    Lainey Flanagan – Jr. – 3.60 GPA, Education Cert Grades PreK-4
    Erin Goudie – So. – 4.00 GPA, Education Cert Grades PreK-4
    Caitlin Ross – Jr. – 3.69 GPA, Electrical Engineering
    Abigail Soerens – Jr. – 3.56 GPA, Biology w/ Teaching Cert.
 
Men's Swimming
    Ben Clarke – So. – 3.89 GPA, Cybersecurity
    Mark Lukens – Sr. – 3.71 GPA, Applied Health Science
    Isaac McCabe – Sr. – 3.70 GPA, Psychology
    Aedan Wilkinson – Jr. – 3.71 GPA, Finance
 
About the CSC Academic All-District Program
The 2022-23 Academic All-District program, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field/court and in the classroom. All honorees must carry a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be enrolled at the institution for at least one full calendar year. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late March.
