Joe Embleton, who claimed his award after a solid senior season at 197 lbs. for the Falcons. Embleton finished the season with a record of 20-22 as Messiah's starter at 197 lbs. He picked up 14 falls while finishing the year with 30 takedowns, 17 reversals, 12 nearfalls, and 35 escapes.
In the classroom, the Oakland, Md. native is an Accounting major that carries a 3.34 cumulative GPA in his senior year.
Embleton becomes the 69th wrestler in Messiah wrestling history to earn NWCA Scholar All-American honors. The Falcons have had at least one Scholar All-American since 1998.
