CARLISLE, Pa. – The Messiah women's swim cruised to a 127-77 win over Dickinson in the first of two meets in two days for the Falcons. The Falcons started and ended the meet strong with two wins in the 400 medley relay and the 200 free relay. The Falcons finished with 17 top-three finishes with six first place finishes in the individual races.
Up next, the Falcons host Dickinson College for the second meet in two days between the two teams with the meet starting at 11:00 a.m.
How It Happened
The Falcons opened the meet strong with a first and third place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of
Grace Schad,
Abigail Soerens,
Erin Goudie, and
Marie Hagemaster earned the gold with a time of 4:06.47.
Maddy Price,
Lexi Lovern,
Samantha Pennell, and
Kendal Wilson added a third-place finish with a time of 4:22.63.
The Falcons started strong in the individual races with a second-place finish from
Samantha Pennell in the 1650 free with a time of 19:37.27.
The Falcons continued to race well with a first and third place finish in the 200 free.
Kylie Wilkinson touched the wall first with a time of 2:03.42 and
Sophie Schulze finished third with a time of 2:05.46. Wilkinson also added a third-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:37.93.
The Falcons continued their strong start with a sweep of the top three finishers in the 50 free.
Kendal Wilson finished first with a time of 26.18,
Marie Hagemaster finished second with a time of 26.24, and
Erin Goudie finished third with a time of 26.52. Wilson added a second-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 57.63. Hagemaster finished first in the 100 free with a time of 55.82. Goudie also added a first-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:15.41.
The Falcons run of multiple top-three continued with a first and third place finish in the 200 IM.
Grace Schad finished first with a time of 2:18.87 and
Lexi Lovern finished third with a time of 2:22.76. Schad also added a second-place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:14.73.
The Soerens sisters dominated the 200 breast with a first and second place finish.
Evangeline Soerens finished first with a time of 2:30.29 and
Abigail Soerens finished second with a time of 2:34.33.
Lauren Mock also added a third-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 59.38.
The Falcons finished strong with a first-place finish in the 200 free relay. The team of
