Men’s Swim Downs Stevenson, Falls Against York

YORK, Pa. – The Messiah University men's swim team split a double-dual against York and Stevenson on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons defeated the Mustangs of Stevenson 118-77 but fell to York 129-65. The Falcons earned second and third place finishes in the relay races. The Falcons earned six top-three finishes, with three gold medals. PJ Cronauer led the Falcons with first place finishes in the 1000 free and the 500 free.
 
Up next, the Falcons host a double-dual against conference rivals Albright College and Misericordia University on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m.

How It Happened
The Falcons started the meet strong with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of Dylan Yellets, Nathan Book, Aedan Wilkinson, and Sage Sobek finished second with a time of 3:44.32.
 
The Falcons started the individual races strong with a first-place finish in the 1000 free from PJ Cronauer with a time of 10:20.23. Cronauer also added a gold medal in the 500 free with a time of 5:00.82.
 
In the next event, the Falcons swam their second straight first-place finish with Sage Sobek winning the 200 free with a time of 1:48.53. Sobek also added a third-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 49.39.
 
Ben Clarke added a third-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.75.
 
Nathan Book ended the individual races strong for the Falcons with a second-place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:23.65.
 
The Falcons finished the double-dual with a third-place finish in the 400 free relay. The team of Will Russell, Ben Clarke, Logan Radell, and PJ Cronauer finished in third with a time of 3:33.60.
