CHESTER, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University men's swimming team won two of the three matchups at the Widener triple-dual meet. The Falcons defeated King's College, 190-40, defeated Hood College 147-97, but fell to Widener University, 180-78. The Falcons finished with 12 top three finishes on the day, with two gold medals. The Falcons also finished with a third-place finish in the final relay event.
Up next, the Falcons return to Fredricksen Natatorium to take on the Knights of Arcadia University on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1:00 p.m.
How It Happened
The Falcons opened the individual events with a third-place finish from
Logan Radell in the 1000 free with a time of 11:22.14. Radell added another bronze in the 500 free with a time of 5:29.23.
The next event for the Falcons they took home both the gold and the silver.
PJ Cronauer earned the gold in the 200 free with a time of 1:48.76 and
Sage Sobek finished in second with a time of 1:50.36. Cronauer added another gold medal in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.91. Sobek added a second-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 50.67.
The Falcons then added a bronze in the next event with
Connor Fleming touching the wall third in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.57.
In the 100 breast,
Nathan Book earned the bronze with a time of 1:03.80. Book also earned the silver in the 200 breast with a time of 2:24.83.
Dylan Yellets also earned the silver in the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.27.
Brayden Trout added two bronze medals. Trout finished third in the 200 breast with a time of 2:27.07 and in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.80.
The Falcons finished the meet with a third-place finish in the 200 free relay. The team of

Sage Sobek finished in third with a time of 1:33.86.
