NEWTOWN, Pa. – On Thursday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth named their 2024 All-MAC Commonwealth major award winners and All-Conference teams. The Falcons earned three major awards and seven All-MAC Commonwealth selections.
Jarec Morlote earned MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year,
Grant Shreiner was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, and
Brad McCarty and the Messiah coaching staff earned Staff of the Year.

Caleb Aldridge,
Adam Carter, and Morlote all earned First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth. The Falcons also added a second team nod, with
Grant Shreiner earning the honor.
Jarec Morlote earned MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year and first team honors after helping lead the Falcons back line this season. Morlote started all 20 games for the Falcons so far this season with a goal and two assists. More importantly, Morlote helped the Falcons earn a 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play and help the Falcons defeat York in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game. Morlote helped the back line allow only 15 goals on the season, with the Falcons giving up only three goals in their last 10 games.
Grant Shreiner earned MAC Commonwealth Rookie of Year after a great first year for the Falcons in the midfield. Shreiner started 19 of the Falcons 20 games and quickly showcased his dominant play. Shreiner tallied two goals and two assists on the season so far, but consistently helped set up the Falcons offense through the midfield.
The Falcons leading scorer,
Patrick Lee earned first team honors after an impressive Junior campaign. Lee led the Falcons with 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. Lee scored a flurry of clutch goals with seven game-winning goals, including the game winner in the 85th minute against York in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game. Lee also finished first in points in the MAC Commonwealth and second in goals.
Josh Bratager also added a first team selection after a strong fifth season as a Falcon. Bratager finished the season second on the Falcons with 21 points on nine goals and three assists. Bratager also added two game-winning goals on the season.
Another midfielder earning first-team honors,
Davis Pagett helped lead the Falcons midfield throughout the season. Pagett finished third on the Falcons with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. Of Pagett's eight goals, three were game winners.
Caleb Aldridge also earned a first team selection after being a key member of the Falcons defense throughout the 2024 season. Aldridge started all 20 games so far for the Falcons and totaled three assists.
Adam Carter rounded out the Falcons first team selections after a great year in goal for Messiah. Carter finished the season with 58 saves with a 0.75 goals-against average, and a .806 save percentage. Carter finished the season with six shutouts, with an eight-save shutout against Alvernia on Oct. 23. Also, Carter totaled a career-high nine saves om the Falcons win over Carthage on Sept. 7.
Head Coach
Brad McCarty and the rest of the Messiah coaching staff earned the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Staff of the Year honors. The Messiah staff helped the Falcons earn a 14-5-1 record with a 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play. After the Falcons opened the season 4-5-1, Messiah rattled off 10-straight wins, including a 2-1 win over York in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game to earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
