WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – On Sunday afternoon, the Falcons fell to the twentieth-ranked Ephs of Williams College, 1-0 in double overtime, in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Ephs and Falcons both sent shots on goal in the first half but could not find the back of the goal and the score remained scoreless headed into the half. Both teams continued to put the pressure on each other's defense, but the game headed to overtime still scoreless. After the first overtime was scoreless, the Ephs scored just over a minute into the second overtime to push Williams to the Sweet Sixteen.
First Half
The Falcons opened the game looking to get an early score with a corner kick in the 17th minute.
Jarec Morlote sent the corner into the box and
Sam Phillips got a head on the ball. The shot though was saved by the Ephs' goalkeeper and the game remained scoreless. The Ephs got their first chance on goal in the 25th minute, but
Adam Carter made the save to keep the game tied. The Ephs continued the attack in the 40th minute with a shot on goal, but Carter made another save to keep the game at zero headed into the half.
Second Half
The Falcons opened the second half on the offensive end.
Patrick Lee sent a shot on goal in the first five minutes, but the Ephs goalkeeper made the save to keep the game tied. In the 62nd minute,
Matt Schumacher added shot on goal, but Ephs goalkeeper continued to be a brick wall in goal and the game stayed scoreless. Both teams then got great chances to try and break the scoreless tie.
Patrick Lee and Schumacher each added shots on goal, but each shot was saved.
Adam Carter also made three saves to end regulation at a 0-0 tie headed to overtime.
First Overtime
Both teams got a shot off in the first overtime, but neither team got a shot on goal and the game headed to a second overtime.
Second Overtime
Two minutes into the second overtime, the Ephs scored the game-winner to defeat the Falcons, 1-0.

The Falcons totaled 12 shots with five shots on goal. The Ephs totaled 19 shots with seven shots on goal. The Falcons totaled five corner kicks to the Ephs three.
Adam Carter started in goal for the Falcons and made six saves.

The Falcons finished the 2024 season with a 14-6-2 overall record with a 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Falcons won their sixth-straight and 21 overall conference championship with a 2-1 win over York.
