Men’s Swimming Falls to Knights

GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University men's swimming team fell to the Knights of Arcadia University, 125-79. The Falcons finished with 10 top three finishes in the individual races with three gold medals. The Falcons finished first in the 200 medley relay and second in the 200 free relay.
 
Up next, the Falcons host the River Hawks of Susquehanna University on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12:00 p.m.

How It Happened
The Falcons opened the dual strong with a gold medal in the 200 medley relay. The team of Mitch DiFante, Nathan Book, Dylan Yellets, and Sage Sobek touched the wall first with a time of 1:44.46.
 
Messiah opened the individual races with a gold medal in the 1000 free. PJ Cronauer finished first with a time of 10:23.26. Cronauer also earned the gold in the 500 free with a time of 5:00.58.
 
In the next race, the Falcons continued their strong start with a first and second place finish in the 200 free. Sage Sobek earned the gold with a time of 1:49.43 and Brayden Trout touched the wall second with a time of 1:55.62. Sobek also earned a silver in the 100 free with a time of 49.78 Trout added a third-place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:24.50.
 
In the 50 free, Nathan Book finished in second with a time of 23.12. Book also added another silver in the 200 breast with a time of 2:22.68.
 
Connor Fleming added a third-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.07. Fleming also earned the bronze in the 200 back with a time of 2:15.41.
 
The Falcons finished the dual with a silver medal in the 200 free relay. The team of Ben Clarke, Brayden Trout, Logan Radell, and PJ Cronauer touched the wall second with a time of 1:35.65.
