Men’s Soccer Earns Three All-Regions Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Tuesday afternoon, the United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced their 2024 Men's Soccer All-Region Teams. The Falcons earned three honors in Region V, with Jarec Morlote earning a spot on the first team. Adam Carter and Patrick Lee both earned second team honors.
 
The 2024 MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year and first team selection, Jarec Morlote was named to the First Team All-Region after leading the Falcons back line throughout the season. Morlote started all 22 games for the Falcons this past season with a goal and three assists. Morlote also helped the Falcons earn a 7-0 record in MAC Commonwealth play and help the Falcons defeat York in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game. He helped the back line allow only 17 goals on the season, with the Falcons giving up only three goals in their last 10 regular season games. Morelote also scored the game-winner in penalty kicks in the NCAA First Round against Cortland.
 
The Falcons leading scorer, Patrick Lee earned Second Team All-Region honors after an impressive Junior season. Lee led the Falcons with 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. Lee always found the best time to score a goal with seven game-winning goals, including the game winner in the 85th minute against York in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game. Lee also finished first in points in the MAC Commonwealth and second in goals.
 
Adam Carter earned the other second team honors after a great year in goal for Messiah. Carter finished the season with 68 saves with a 0.76 goals-against average, and a .810 save percentage. Carter finished the season with six shutouts, with an eight-save shutout against Alvernia on Oct. 23. Also, Carter totaled a career-high nine saves in the Falcons win over Carthage on Sept. 7. He also kept the Falcons in every game of the NCAA Tournament with 10 saves in the two games for Messiah.
