GRANTHAM, Pa. - In the finale of the 2023-24 regular season, the Messiah wrestling team was topped by No. 13 The College of New Jersey Lions by a 35-6 final score.
Josiah Gehr provided the lone points for the Falcons with a first-period fall at 141 lbs. Gehr worked his way out of a tough position and locked in a cradle, earning the pin in just 1:05. Outside of Gehr's victory, Messiah kept a handful of matches close, but TCNJ controlled the rest of the bouts en route to the 35-6 victory.
The Falcons finish the regular season with an 11-11 dual record.
The Falcons will take next weekend off before heading to Lycoming College for the Southeast Regionals on Mar. 1-2.
