NEWTOWN, Pa. – At the end of January, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 1,696 student-athletes to be named to the MAC Honor Roll for the Fall of 2023. Among the list of student-athletes honored were 108 Messiah Falcons. Of those 108 fall student-athletes to be included from the Falcons were 30 individuals who achieved perfect, 4.0 grade-point averages in the fall semester while competing in their sport.
The fall academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity level sport and registered a fall term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. Since 2020-21, the MAC has allowed its institutions to name all of their NCAA-competing sports to the MAC Academic Honor Roll even if the MAC does not sponsor the sport. To date, the additional sports recognized are beach volleyball (spring), men's and women's fencing (winter) and women's wrestling (winter).
