WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – On Friday afternoon, the Messiah University wrestling team earn two wins out of three duals in the opening day of the Budd Whitehill National Duals. The Falcons started the day with a 21-20 win over Ohio Northern. The Falcons fell in the second match to Ithaca 33-11, but the Falcons came away with an impressive 38-11 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering to earn the second spot in group D of the bracket. With the second-place finish in the group, the Falcons will take part in the 5th-8th place bracket tomorrow.
Up next, the Falcons take on the Generals of Washington and Lee in the first matchup of the 5th-8th place bracket. Stevens and Wilkes take part in the other matchup in the bracket. Both matches will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the 5th and 7th place matches starting at 1:30 p.m.
