CARLISLE, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University men's swimming team dropped their opening dual of 2025 to the Red Devils of Dickinson College, 136-62. The Falcons finished with nine top three finishes in the individual races. The Falcons finished fourth in both the 400 medley relay and in the 200 free relay.
Up next, the Falcons travel to Stevenson University for a double-dual against the Spartans of York College and the Mustangs of Stevenson University on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
How It Happened
The Falcons opened the dual with a fourth-place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of
Mitch DiFante,
Brayden Trout,
Dylan Yellets, and
PJ Cronauer touched the wall fourth with a time of 3:58.52.
In the first individual event,
Logan Radell finished third in the 1000 free with a time of 11:11.64.
In the next event,
Sage Sobek finished in second in the 200 free with a time of 1:50.93. Sobek also earned a gold in the 100 free with a time of 50.48.
The Falcons added a silver in the 400 IM with
PJ Cronauer swimming a time of 4:26.42. Cronauer also touched the wall first in the 500 free with a time of 5:02.89.
Brayden Trout added a third-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 57.85.
The Falcons swam a strong 100 back with a second and third-place finish.
Mitch DiFante finished in second with a time of 1:03.15 and
Dylan Yellets earned the bronze with a time of 1:05.25.
Nathan Book capped off the individual races with a second-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.52.
In the final event of the afternoon, the team of
Logan Radell,
Ben Clarke,
Nathan Book, and
Sage Sobek finished in fourth in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:37.88.
