ARLINGTON, Va. – The Messiah Wrestling team was in action at the Brent Lancaster Memorial Duals hosted by Marymount University. The Falcons went 3-1 on the day, opening the day with a 58-0 win over Penn State Altoona. After dropping their second bout against Washington and Lee 29-14, Messiah earned 1 34-15 win over host Marymount before defeating Southern Virginia 40-6.
The Falcons return to the mats on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00 AM, at the Scotty Wood Duals hosted by Muhlenberg College.
Messiah 58 – PSU Altoona 0
In the Falcons' first dual of the day, there were four contested bouts with six Falcons earning wins via forfeit. At 125 lbs.,
Micah Lozano earned a fall over Tammar Reza in 0:19.
Chris Brooks earned a 14-1 major decision at 133 lbs. over Evan Davis before
Matthew Casey earned a fall in 2:13 at 141 lbs. over Oliver Garcia. Garret Fowler earned a fall in 1:05 over Gonzalo Santana Hernandez at 174 lbs.
Abel Brunk (149 lbs.),
Noah Rice (157 lbs.),
Dylan Hart (165 lbs.),
Drew Kozubal (184 lbs.),
Tim Eddinger (197 lbs.), and
Kaleb Britting (285 lbs.) each picked up a win via forfeit.
Messiah 14 – Washington and Lee 29
In the lone loss for Messiah on the day,
Zach Needles earned a 9-3 decision win at 174 lbs. against Jacob Wright while
Austin Brass secured a 17-2 technical fall in 3:58 at 184 lbs. over Evan Surmay. At 165 lbs.,
Keegan Demarest picked up a win via medical forfeit.
Austin Jeffrey (125 lbs.) and
Elijah Farr (285 lbs.) lost their bouts via fall to Ben Rubin and Carter Stack, respectively. At 133 lbs.,
Caiden Heller dropped his bout against Vincent Ziccardi via 7-0 sudden victory.
Tyler Ratledge was defeated by Skyler Hickman at 141 lbs. via 18-3 technical fall in 5:25. At 149 lbs.,
Jacob Cunningham was defeated via 10-4 decision by Evan Owen before
Noah Rice was defeated by Liam Flanagan at 157 lbs. via 5-1 decision. At 197 lbs.,
Tucker Seidel was defeated by John Santowski via 1-0 decision.

Following a loss for
Micah Lozano at 125 lbs. via 8-1 decision by Ian Morales,
Caiden Heller (133 lbs.) and
Tyler Ratledge (141 lbs.) earned wins via fall in 2:32 and 6-1 decision, respectively.
Dalton Monger was defeated at 149 lbs. via fall in 4:27 by Adonis Iparraguirre before
Noah Rice picked up a 5-1 decision at 157 lbs. over Pahris Petalal. At 165 lbs.,
Keegan Demarest earned a 20-4 technical fall over Tallion Elliot in 6:10 before
Zach Needles forfeited at 174 lbs. against Marcus Lewis.
Austin Brass picked up a win via 16-1 technical fall at 184 lbs. over Edward Lewis in 3:10. At 197 lbs.,

Caiden Heller defeated Talon Whicker at 133 lbs. via 16-1 technical fall in 3:00 before
Tyler Ratledge earned a 9-3 decision at 141 lbs. over Porter Kinne. At 149 lbs.,
Jacob Cunningham earned a 17-2 technical fall in 5:37 over Richie Kulessa before
Mikey Hollar earned a 20-4 technical fall at 157 lbs. over Kyler North in 5:41. At 165 lbs.,
Drew Kozubal also earned a 17-2 technical fall, defeating Wyatt Kinne in 1:51. At 174 lbs.,
Nick Montanye earned a 6-0 decision over Tanner Giatras before Nathan Kovalcik earned a 17-6 major decision at 184 lbs. over Harrison Hoopes.
Tim Eddinger earned a 15-1 major decision over Hank Svedin at 197 lbs. before
Kaleb Britting picked up the Falcons' lone fall over Marc Richardson at 285 lbs. in 4:07.
