GLENSIDE, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University women's swimming team defeated the Knights of Arcadia University, 166-96. The Falcons opened the meet with a first and third-place finish in the 400 medley relay and concluded the meet with a gold in the 200 free relay. The Falcons earned 23 top three finishes with eight gold medals. 
Lauren Edge and 
Madelyn Frey led the Falcons with three gold medals each. 
Keelie Conaway and 
Grace Schad also each added a first-place finish.

How It Happened
The Falcons opened the dual with a first and third-place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of 
Grace Schad, 
Madelyn Frey, 
Rachel Sobkowiak, and 
Kari Mindrebo touched the wall first with a time of 4:15.79. The team of 
Maddy Price, 
Makayla Yellets, 
Abby Caltrider, and 
Kendal Wilson earned the bronze with a time of 4:33.05.
 
The Falcons opened the individual races with a first and second-place finish in the 1000 free. 
Keelie Conaway earned the gold with a time of 11:49.04 and 
Samantha Pennell finished in second with a time of 11:59.38. Pennell added a silver medal in the 500 free with a time of 5:53.15.
 
In the next race, the Falcons earned the gold and silver in the 200 free. 
Lauren Edge finished in first with a time of 2:02.82 and 
Kari Mindrebo touched the wall second with a time of 2:02.91. Edge added a first-place finish in the 100 free (55.80) and the 500 free (5:38.03). Mindrebo added a silver medal in the 100 free with a time of 57.35.
 
The Falcons then added a first and second-place finish in the 50 back. 
Grace Schad earned the gold with a time of 28.30 and 
Meredith Westcott touched the wall second with a time of 30.81. Schad added a bronze in the 200 IM with a time of 2:23.63. Westcott added third-place finish in the 100 back with a time of 1:07.60.
 
The Falcons continued their strong meet with a first and third-place finish in the 50 breast. 
Madelyn Frey earned the gold with a time of 32.14 and 
Lexi Lovern finished in third with a time of 35.25. Frey touched the wall first in the 50 free with a time of 26.13 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.79. Lovern added a silver in the 100 breast with a time of 1:16.35.
 
In the next event, 
Rachel Sobkowiak finished second in the 100 fly with a time of 1:07.18. Sobkowiak added a silver medal in the 50 free with a time of 27.46 and a third-place finish in the 50 fly with a time of 29.08.
 
Kendal Wilson added a third-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 27.55.
 
Maddy Price also added a silver in the 100 back with a time of 1:06.59.
 
Makayla Yellets touched the wall third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:16.77.
 
The Falcons capped off the meet with a gold medal in the 200 free relay. The team of
