Men’s Swimming Holds in Sixth Place After Day Two of the Spartan Splash Invitational

YORK, Pa. – On Saturday evening, the Messiah University men's swimming team held onto their sixth-place position after day two of the Spartan Splash Invitational. The Falcons have totaled 266 points after two days of swimming. The Falcons trail the fifth-place team by 35.5 points headed into the final day of competition.

Up next, the Falcons compete in the final day of the Spartan Splash Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 23 with the preliminary races starting at 9:00 a.m. and the finals races starting at 4:00 p.m.
 
How It Happened
The Falcons opened day two of the Spartan Splash Invitational with a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of Joseph Duquette, Nathan Book, Sebastian Martinez, and Logan Radell came in sixth with a time of 1:40.97.
 
The Falcons earned three top 10 finishes in the 200 free. Logan Radell came in sixth with a time of 1:52.94, John Bajwa finished eighth with a time of 1:54.74, and Austin Turner finished in ninth with a time of 1:53.67.
 
Nathan Book added a fourth-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.91.
 
The Falcons then earned their first medal of day two, with Joseph Duquette earning the silver in the 100 back with a time of 52.78.
 
The Falcons capped off day two with a fourth-place finish in the 800 free relay. The team of Joseph Duquette, Evan Lamison, Austin Turner, and Logan Radell finished in fourth with a time of 7:34.33.
