Men’s Swimming Falls Against River Hawks

GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Friday evening, the Messiah University men's swimming fell to the River Hawks of Susquehanna, 166-95. The Falcons started the race with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay and finished the meet in third in the 400 free relay. The Falcons earned 14 top three finishes with five gold medals. Joseph Duquette led the Falcons with three gold medals. Logan Radell added the other two first-places finishes for the Falcons.
 
Up next, the Falcons head to York, Pa. for the three-day Spartan Splash Invitational starting on Friday, Nov. 21.

How It Happened
The Falcons opened the meet with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of Joseph Duquette, Nathan Book, Dylan Yellets, and Evan Lamison earned the bronze with a time of 1:43.73.
 
The Falcons had a strong start in the individual races with a first and third place finish in the 1000 free. Logan Radell earned the gold with a time of 10:55.94 and Austin Turner earned the bronze with a time of 11:14.43. Radell added another first-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:15.29 and Turner finished third in the 500 free with a time of 5:18.60.
 
In the next event, Evan Lamison touched the wall third in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.94.
 
The Falcons then earned a gold medal in the 100 back. Joseph Duquette finished in first with a time of 53.61. Duquette also finished first in the 200 back (1:59.31) and the 200 IM (2:01.33).
 
Aidan Lacock finished in third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:07.01.
 
In the next event, the Falcons earned a silver and bronze in the 200 fly. Aidan Siemieniec touched the wall second with a time of 2:26.52 and Dylan Yellets finished in third with a time of 2:27.70. Yellets also finished in third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.60.
 
Nathan Book added a third place finish in the 50 free with a time of 23.25. Book also finished in second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:24.26.
 
The Falcons closed the dual with a bronze in the 400 medley relay. The team of Aidan Lacock, John Bajwa, Austin Turner, and Logan Radell touched the wall third with a time of 3:37.33.
