GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah Wrestling team concluded the 2025 portion of the 2025-26 season hosting the Chocolate Duals in Hitchcock Arena. The Falcons opened action against Randolph College with a 54-0 win highlighted by three falls and four technical falls. Messiah dropped their second-bout 23-20 after a back-and-forth battle against Case Western Reserve University. The Falcons rounded out the day with a 27-19 win over Ithaca College, highlighted by falls for Levi Snyder and Keegan Demarest and a technical fall from Tucker Seidel.

The Falcons will return to the mats in 2026 when they travel to Williamsport, Pa. for the Bud Whitehill National Division III Duals hosted by Lycoming College. Action will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, with day two action beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10.

Messiah University vs. Randolph College

At 125 lbs., Austin Jeffrey won via forfeit. Caiden Heller was in action at 133 lbs. against Zakariya Gurban. After a quick takedown from Gurban, Heller earned the escape and a takedown of his own. Heller held a 7-5 advantage after the first period before adding a takedown in the second. Heller outscored Gurban 10-2 in the final period to earn the 20-8 major decision.

Jacob Cunningham took on Jackson Raditz at 141 lbs., earning a 21-6 first-period technical fall after seven takedowns in 2:31. At 149 lbs., Levi Snyder held a 6-1 lead over Adon Overstreet after takedowns in the first and second period before securing the fall in 3:37 to give the Falcons a 21-0 team lead.

At 157 lbs., Noah Rice led Ty'Shawn Archie 9-2 before securing the fall in 2:26. At 165 lbs., Keegan Demarest won via forfeit. Drew Kozubal took an early 7-0 lead over Carl Lewis at 174 lbs. before securing the fall in 0:58.

The Falcons rounded out the first dual with three straight technical falls. At 184 lbs., Nate Kovalcik secured seven first-period takedowns against Colton Webster to earn the 21-6 technical fall in 2:12. Then at 197 lbs., Tucker Seidel secured a takedown 11 seconds into the first period before tallying 12 nearfall points to earn the 15-0 technical fall in 1:17. Micah Martinez rounded out action for the Falcons with a 15-0 technical fall over Elijah Frizzell after a takedown and eight nearfall points in the first period before an escape and takedown in the second for the technical fall in 3:36 to give the Falcons the 54-0 team win.

Messiah University vs. Case Western Reserve University

Opening action at 125 lbs., Austin Jeffrey jumped to a 15-4 lead over Tatsu Homma with five first-period takedowns. Jeffrey capitalized on his fifth takedown and secured the fall in 1:55. At 133 lbs., Tyler Ratledge dropped his bout to Art Martinez via 22-4 technical fall in 6:32.

At 141 lbs., Hunter Keane earned the 8-3 decision over Jacob Cunningham before Dalton Monger earned the fall in 0:54 at 149 lbs. over Dillon O'Keefe.

Noah Rice dropped his bout at 157 lbs. against Thomas Wagner via 12-5 decision with tiebreaker one. Keegan Demarest picked up a 21-5 technical fall at 165 lbs. in 3:30 after six first-period takedowns and a third-period takedown against Marty Landes.

Drew Kozubal was in a tight battle with Chase Crutchley at 174 lbs. and dropped the bout via 4-3 decision. At 184 lbs., Nate Kovalcik held a 2-1 advantage over Mathew Gummere after the second period before Gummere secured the 5-2 decision with an escape and takedown in the third period.

At 197 lbs., Tucker Seidel continued to fire shots against Aidan Gassel who played a strong defensive side and earned a takedown off one of Seidel's shots and earned the fall in 1:57. Kaleb Britting earned the final victory for Messiah at 285 lbs. with a 5-2 decision over Alexander Goldman. His efforts were not enough as Case Western claimed the team win 23-20.

Messiah University vs. Ithaca College

Ithaca took an early lead in the team score, claiming the first three bouts. At 125 lbs., Cosmo Damiani earned the fall over Austin Jeffrey in 1:20 before Caiden Heller dropped his match to George McAteer at 133 lbs. via 7-0 decision. Jacob Cunningham dropped his match at 141 lbs. against Isaias Torres via 7-4 decision.

The Falcons scoring began at 149 lbs., when Levi Snyder jumped to a 4-0 lead over William Bentrim before earning the fall in 4:22. At 157 lbs., Noah Rice secured a 10-2 major decision over Brian Bienus with a takedown in each period and an escape in the second.

At 165 lbs., Keegan Demarest jumped to a commanding 13-2 first-period lead at 165 lbs. before securing the fall over Max Casiano. Drew Kozubal dropped his bout at 174 lbs. via 11-6 decision against Konrad Parker.

Nate Kovalcik earned a win at 184 lbs. via forfeit. Tucker Seidel earned the technical fall at 197 lbs. after a takedown and 13 nearfall points in the first period, securing the 16-0 technical fall in 2:12. Action for the day wrapped with Micah Martinez at 285 lbs., who dropped his bout against Kamdyn Dorchester via 5-2 decision after a late reversal by Dorchester.
