GRANTHAM, Pa. -  On Monday, August 4th, AROMA (A Revolutional of Missional Athletes), will be sending out two international mixed trips to Africa. A team, consisting of 12 students and 2 staff members, will be traveling to Zambia alongside long term partner Project 1151. AROMA has been working with Project 1151 and the Macha Sport and Learning Program (MSLP) for almost a decade and this will be AROMA's eighth trip to Zambia. MSLP was started by Messiah alum, Eric Thuma ('00). His family has hosted the team and been intimately involved alongside their Zambian staff in years past. Their family has returned to the US and turned the ministry over completely to the Zambian staff. We hope to bring our team back alongside them to encourage and support the ongoing ministry in Macha.

The second group is an all-male group of students and leaders and they will be traveling to Kenya. This team will be partnering with Sports Friends, a sports ministry arm of SIM. The last time AROMA sent a mixed trip to Kenya in partnership with Sports Friends was in 2019. AROMA is excited to send another team to Kenya to see what God is doing in and through the Sports Friends ministry, as well as to be an encouragement.

Both trips will include sports clinics, water filter demonstration and distribution, as well as building relationships with our partners.
