Men’s Swim Drops Dual Against Dickinson

GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University men's swim team fell to the Red Devils of Dickinson College, 165-82. The Falcons finished third in the 200 medley relay and closed the meet finishing second in the 400 free relay race. The Falcons earned 12 top three finishes in the individual races with three gold medals. Joseph Duquette led the Falcons with two first-place finishes and Logan Radell added a gold medal.
 
Up next, the Falcons host the Mustangs of Stevenson University on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 11:00 a.m.
 
How It Happened
The Falcons opened the dual with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of Joseph Duquette, Will Russell, Dylan Yellets, and John Bajwa touched the wall third with a time of 1:49.15.
 
The Falcons opened the individual events with a second-place finish in the 1000 free. Logan Radell touched the wall second with a time 10:50.59. Radell added a gold medal in the 500 free with a time of 5:13.92.
 
In the next event, Evan Lamison finished third in the 200 free with a time of 1:59.02. Lamison also earned the bronze in the 100 free with a time of 52.06 and the 100 fly with a time of 58.84.
 
In the 100 back, Joseph Duquette earned the gold with a time of 54.92. Duquette also finished first in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.02.
 
Nathan Book added a third-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.03. Book added third-place finishes in the 50 free (24.36) and the 200 breast (2:26.68).
 
In the 200 fly, Austin Turner touched the wall third with a time of 2:20.20.
 
Dylan Yellets finished third in the 400 IM with a time of 5:16.01.
 
The Falcons ended the dual with a second-place finish in the 400 free relay. The team of John Bajwa, Evan Lamison, Nathan Book, and Joseph Duquette touched the wall second with a time of 3:28.39.
