Tucker Seidel being named MAC Rookie of the Year and Head Coach
Bryan Brunk being named MAC Coach of the Year.
Tucker Seidel had a standout freshman season, earning his place as the 197 lbs. starter early in the season for the Falcons. Seidel collected a record of 41-12 with six falls and ranking third in technical falls in Division III with 20. He tallied 68 takedowns and contributed 175.5 team points across the season. Seidel opened tournament action with a third-place finish at the Messiah Invitational before claiming first at the Racich Rumble, first at the Scotty Wood Invitational, first at Messiah Petrofes, third at MAC Championships, and eighth at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational. He concluded his freshman campaign with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Region III Championships.
Head Coach
Bryan Brunk was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Wrestling Coach of the Year after leading Messiah to a record of 14-5 while adding three tournament wins, a Middle Atlantic Conference Championship, and a third-place finish of 21 teams at the NCAA Region III Championships. Messiah claimed their fifth MAC Men's Wrestling title, as the Falcons finished with one individual title, one runner-up finish, and three third-place finishes. This is Coach Brunk's seventh honor as MAC Coach of the Year.
