GRANTHAM, Pa. - Over the next two weeks, AROMA (A Revolution of Missional Athletes)—the sports ministry arm of Messiah Athletics—will be sending out three teams on international trips.The field hockey team will depart this Friday, May 15, for Costa Rica, where they will serve alongside Zag Tours. On Sunday, May 17, a mixed group of athletes will travel to Thailand in partnership with Sports Friends. Following that, on Monday, May 25, the wrestling team will head to Guatemala to partner with Athletes in Action and compete in the Pat Shaw Memorial Invitational.

During these trips, our teams will work alongside established local sports ministry organizations that use sports as a way to connect with people, build relationships, and share the love of Jesus. Through clinics, games, and community outreach, our student-athletes will have the opportunity to engage with individuals of all ages while supporting the ongoing ministry efforts already taking place in each location.

These experiences are designed not only to serve the communities our teams visit, but also to challenge and grow our student-athletes as they learn to live out their faith through their sport and maybe see God in a new way! Our hope is that these global visits will provide encouragement to our ministry partners and create lasting impact both internationally and within our own athletic community.
