Career Highlights - Summary
13: Competed in 8 varsity matches for the Falcons throughout the year.
12: Wrestled in 31 varsity matches. He also placed 8th in the Wheaton, 5th at Roger Williams and 4th in the Empire.
11: Spent time as Messiah's top performer at 197 early on but suffered season ending injury...highlights of the season included a finals appearance at the Messiah Invitational and a victory by fall to secure the dual meet over Waynesburg.
10: Appeared in 10 varsity matches as he transitioned to college wrestling.
HS: Had a strong overall career winning 61 matches and placing three times in Districts. Enjoyed a very strong senior season winning 34 matches including 2 matches at the New Jersey State Championships.
Personal
Russell Christian Jones is a Business Administration major at Messiah from Rockaway, N.J. His hobbies include swimming, basketball, splitting wood, FCA, and friendship. The person that he most admires is his oldest sister Jayne. His favorite food is beef and favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip. His favorite vacation spots are Long Beach Island, N.J., and his home. On the iPod is Jeremy Camp, Adele, Mozart, and Luke Bryan.
