Roman is in his first year as a part-time strength coach at Messiah University. Wagner, a 2021 Messiah alum, works full time for Men of Iron, a men’s faith-based non-profit based out of Manheim, PA.
Roman is passionate about walking alongside student-athletes and helping them become their best in and outside of the weight room. “There is a lot in life that goes on during your college aged years that can have major effects on your life trajectory. I want to be able to walk through life and be available to students as they navigate the challenges of college. I want to be able to pass on some of the lessons I learned through my mistakes, for the betterment of these students and their faith.”
Roman’s previous strength and conditioning experiences include working with the University of Oregon football team, the Baltimore Ravens, Gettysburg College, and in the private sector through Power Trains Sports and Fitness. During his time at Messiah, Wagner was a collegiate wrestler and was heavily involved with the FCA huddle on campus.
