During his high school career, Austin Jerome Pate was a four-year varisty starter, being named a captain for his junior and senior season ... In his junior year, Pate was highly decorated as a defensive player, being named District Defender of the Year as well as Region Defender of the Year ... Named the District MVP as well as a member of the All-State team in 2012 ... Played club soccer for the FC Alliance, winning the 2011 Nike Cup Championship and placing third in the Super Region Premier League ... In 2011-2012, Austin was a member of the Tennessee Olympic Development Program.
