In January 2025, Megan was elevated to Associate Athletic Director for Student-athlete Health, Performance and Safety, to more accurately reflect the many areas she oversees including all aspects of health and safety within intercollegiate athletics. While serving as a member of the Messiah Athletics Leadership team, she also provides athletic training services to all Messiah athletes, but specifically works on the sideline for field hockey, women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse. Megan also serves as a preceptor to athletic training students in the professional athletic training program at Messiah University. She is also the designated Health Care Administrator for Messiah.

Megan’s education has focused on the clinical delivery of healthcare within athletic training. Megan attended Bethel College (KS) for her undergraduate professional program and Masters of Science in Post-Professional Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University (PA). She earned her Doctorate in Athletic Training (DAT) from Indiana State University in 2019, where her research focused on musculoskeletal screening tool usage among athletic trainers in traditional settings, and documentation quality improvement.

Prior to arriving at Messiah, Megan worked at Hesston College (KS), East Stroudsburg University (PA), La Junta High School (CO), and Otero Junior College (CO). A native of La Junta, Colo., Megan enjoys retreating back to the Rocky Mountains during the summer months.

Megan is a member of the Collegiate Athletic Trainers’ Society (CATS) and Athletics Healthcare Administrators Association.
