Messiah University

Andrew Springer returns to Messiah University for his ninth year as assistant coach in 2020-21. A 2012 graduate of Messiah, he earned a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science.
 
Springer was a member of the Messiah cross country team during his undergraduate years (2008-2012). In 2008 the team won the MAC Championship and in 2009 and 2011 finished as Runner-Up. Twice, in 2008 and 2011, the men’s cross country team achieved a Top-10 finish in the Mideast Region.
 
Springer was also a member of the 2009 indoor MAC Championship winning team and finished on the podium of the 10K at outdoor MACs in 2012. Andrew is currently ninth on Messiah’s All-Time Top-10 for his mark in the 10K.
 
Since graduating, Andrew has been an active participant on the Strength, Wisdom, Integrity, Faithfulness, and Truthfulness (S.W.I.F.T.) racing team. A team of mostly Messiah track & field/cross country alumni founded to give runners a chance to stay connected to their teammates after graduation and to glorify God with the blessing He has given in running.
 
Andrew currently resides in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
