Messiah University

The 2017-18 season marks Derek Ricker's tenth year as assistant coach with Messiah College wrestling and 14th overall year that he's been on the mats for the Falcons.

A 2007 graduate from Messiah, Ricker was four-year competitor under head coach Bryan Brunk before he soon joined the staff. He specializes with middle-weight wrestlers, does match day evaluations and individual plan development, and plans and implements practices and season plans.

During his time as an undergraduate Ricker had an outstanding wrestling career. He was a two-time NCAA Qualifier and Scholar All-American, and he was team captain during his junior and senior seasons.
