Justin Hoshauer

Entering the 2026-27 season, Justin Hoshauer enters his first season as the assistant men's basketball coach at Messiah University. He rejoins the Falcon's staff following two seasons as the assistant coach at Piedmont University in Georgia. 
 
In his first season on staff, Piedmont set the team single game scoring record with 131 points in a win over Greenville and earned a spot in the CCS Tournament losing to Huntingdon on the road in the quarterfinals. During Hoshauer's two seasons with the Lions he helped to develop five All-Conference players.

Prior to Piedmont, Hoshauer was on staff at Messiah as a graduate assistant coach. Hoshauer oversaw individual skill workouts, film sessions, and position specific drills as the head of player development, while also maintaining roles as head of operations and head of scouting. On the operations side, he managed the program's travel, equipment, and fundraising efforts while also being in charge of film breakdowns and scouting reports as head of scouting. 

In college, Hoshauer served as a student assistant and JV student-athlete at Grove City College, helping to lead individual skill sessions, assisting with practice preparation and helping with film breakdown/statistical research. He was also part of the 2019-2020 Presidents Athletic Conference championship team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Hoshauer also has experience coaching at the high school level when he returned to his alma mater at Covenant Classical School in Fort Worth, Texas where he served as a men's basketball assistant (2019) and summer strength and conditioning coach (2020, 2022). He has experience across a myriad of basketball camps and Elite/ID camps, including Mt. Saint Marys, Emory, Piedmont, Messiah and EXACT basketball camps where he has coached across the country lead an All-American trip to Italy.

Hoshauer earned his bachelor of science in management with a concentration in sports management from Grove City College in 2022. He completed his master's degree in intercollegiate athletic leadership from Messiah University in 2024.Â
