The 2017-18 season marks Josh Thomson's second year as assistant coach with the Falcons, but he's no stranger to the mats at Messiah College. A four-year competitor with the program, Thomson graduated in the Spring of 2016 as one of the most decorated performers in program history.
Thomson finished his career as Messiah's first-ever four-time NCAA Division III All-American, and he graduated as the all-time wins leader a career mark of 169-18. In his senior season he finished as the National Runner-Up at 184 lbs. after winning the third Mideast Regional Championship and fourth Conference Championship of his tenure.
Thomson reached the 40-win mark in each of his first three seasons, including a 47-6 record during his junior year. During his incredible senior year Thomson went 39-3 with 21 pins.
In addition to that Runner-Up finish of 2016, Thomson finished third in the nation in both 2013 and 2015, and fourth in 2014.
