Annville, PA – One day after Messiah women's soccer took home 10 All-Commonwealth honors the men's team followed suit with 10 of their own. Jeremy Payne was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Carter Robbins the Defensive Player of the Year to lead seven Falcons named to the First Team. Head coach Brad McCarty was also named the Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the second time in five seasons.

Payne and Robbins were joined on the First Team by forwards Jack Thompson and Joshua Wood, midfielder Brian Ramirez, defender Josh Kremers, and keeper Brandon West. Honorable Mention recognition went to both Mike Kovach and Sheldon Myer.

Payne's Offensive Player of the Year award is his second in as many years.* He is second on the team in goals (13), assists (8), and points (34), and once again displayed an imposing combination of strength, size, and athleticism in the midfield for the Falcons. Eight of his goals and four of his assists came against conference foes.

Robbins earned the Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring a Falcons' backfield that yielded just four goals to conference foes and collected five shutouts to lead all teams. Regarded as one of the top center backs in the nation, Robbins earns All-Commonwealth for the second-straight season.

Joshua Wood earned the First Team honor for the third time in his career. The former 2009 Rookie of the Year is the Falcons' leader in goals (17), points (38), and game-wining goals (8) and tallied nine goals in Commonwealth games to lead all players.

Jack Thompson, like Wood, is another former Rookie of the Year (2011) who earned the First Team honor for the third time in his career. He leads the Falcons with 14 assists, nine of which came in conference games.

Wood (22), Payne (20), and Thompson (15) finished first, second, and third in point totals for the entire Commonwealth in conference-only competition.

Brian Ramirez, Josh Kremers, and Brandon West all earned the All-Commonwealth nod for the second in their careers. For Ramirez it is his second First Team honor in as many years. Kremers and West, like Robbins, did much to contribute to the Falcons' stingy defense. West allowed just three goals in conference play and holds a 0.54 goals against average and 0.763 save percentage across more than 1,500 minutes this season.

Kovach, a 2012 Second Team honoree, and Myer were named Honorable Mention to round out the nine player awards. Kovach tallied four goals and four assists in conference play while Myer scored all three of his goals in conference games to earn his first-ever All-Commonwealth honor.

McCarty's Coach of the Year award is the second of his career (2010) and comes after the Falcons' completed a fifth-straight undefeated conference regular-season. Messiah's regular-season conference win streak, which dates back into 2008, now sits at 43 games.

Lycoming midfielder Bill Kerr took home Rookie of the Year honors for the Commonwealth after an impressive season playing center back for the Warriors.

Below is a listing of the entire All-Commonwealth selections for men's soccer.

*Note: Starting in 2013 the Commonwealth Conference recognizes both an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year for soccer. Neither award is assigned to a specific position on the field (e.g., a midfielder can be named either the Offensive or Defensive Player of the Year).
