COACHING BIO

Beachy was named as the first head coach in the history for the Messiah men's volleyball program when it began in 2017, with the first season kicking off in 2018.

"I couldn't be more excited to be named the first head coach for the program as it moves to NCAA Division III," said Beachy. "It's an incredible honor to be able to part of the Messiah Athletics community in this role."

Beachy's return to Messiah comes on the heels of one season spent at Division I Lipscomb University (Nashville, Tenn) as a full-time women's assistant coach. There, he helped the program to a 22-8 record, the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Beachy has also earned a wealth of experience coaching club teams in both the Central Pennsylvania area and around Nashville, and hopes to build on that in his time at the NCAA Division III level.

Beachy completed his undergraduate degree from Messiah in 2013, where he also earned a Master's of Arts in Higher Education, with a concentration in Collegiate Athletics Management, from Messiah in 2015. During his competitive career with the Falcons' club team he was a three-time Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Volleyball Conference (MACVC) Most Valuable Player and helped Messiah to two National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Division II National Championships.

"I absolutely loved my experience as a club player at Messiah, and also as both a club coach and coach at Lipscomb," Beachy said. "The transition for Messiah to Division III is such a great opportunity, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

Beachy currently resides in East Petersburg, Pa.
