Messiah University

Elliot Thomas will be entering his second season as pitching coach of the Messiah Falcons in 2012. Thomas graduated from Messiah in the spring of 2010 after spending three years as a member of the Falcons’ baseball team.

“I am really excited for the opportunity to come back to Messiah and help out with the pitching staff,” Thomas said. “Messiah is a great school and I hope to be able to give back to the program.”

An accomplished pitcher during his tenure at Messiah, Thomas helped bring a Commonwealth Conference championship to the school in 2008. In Thomas’s senior year with the program, he led the team in appearances (17) and ERA (3.17).

Last year, Thomas oversaw the pitchers on a Messiah Falcons team that captured the Commonwealth Conference championship.

Thomas transferred to Messiah from California University of Pennsylvania after his freshman year of college. Before that, he was a standout pitcher at Boiling Springs High School in Boiling Springs, PA.

Thomas graduated from Messiah with a degree in sport management. He says one day he would like to work in a college athletic department.
