Glenside, PA-The Messiah College Falcons (15-7, 5-1) improved their winning streak to five straight matches with a Commonwealth Conference victory over the Arcadia University Knights (7-10, 1-5) in straight sets Tuesday evening.
Messiah came out strong in the first set and set the tempo by holding Arcadia to single digits points in the opener, winning 25-9.
The Falcons would keep the pressure on the Knights and would clinch the second set 25-18.
Arcadia would bounce back in the third set to stay alive, but Messiah would battle and take the third and decisive set 25-23.

Jessica Geib led the Falcons with a solid performance racking up 28 assists and knocking three kills of her own. Senior outside hitter
Lauren Rees had the hot hand, tallying 17 kills in the sweep.
Arcadia was anchored by Carlee Rossiter in the loss.
The win improves Messiah to 5-1 in the Commonwealth Conference placing them in a current tie for second place with Elizabethtown (19-4, 5-1) and one game behind Stevenson (25-2,6-0). The Falcons still have three conference matches remaining this season, including a home showdown with Elizabethtown on October 25.
The Falcons will look to improve their current winning streak to six when they travel to Carlisle, Pa., and take on Dickinson College (4-11) on Thursday, October 11.
