Grantham, PA - A week after honoring four players from the 2012 Messiah College field hockey team on the All-Region squads, Longstreth and the NFHCA honored another player on the Falcons roster, this time as one of the top players in the nation.
Junior defender
Gina Kellett added to her collection of awards this season, adding Third Team All-American to the already impressive list. Kellett received
First Team All-Commonwealth accolades on the first of November and was
selected to the First Team All-Region just last week.
Kellett's selection is the first honor as an All-American in her three-year career, and it is the 13th straight year the Falcons have been honored with an All-American selection.
Kellett, a native of Winfield, Pa., was a cornerstone at defense for the Falcons this season. The Falcons' defense finished the season with a 0.68 goals against average, a mark that stood sixth in all of Division III.
All-American status is given to 48 players selected to three different teams after a season's conclusion. For a look at all the players selected to this year's teams please
