XML Box Score Reading, PA - The Messiah Falcons met up with the Albright Lions tonight to win 3-0 and improve their conference record to 3-2.
Kristen Douglas' 14 kills paved the way in the win, while
Jessica Geib dished out 34 assists.
Messiah nearly doubled up on the Lions in total kills, putting up 40 to Albright's 25. Despite that, the sets were close with the Falcons winning 25-22, 25-22, and 25-23.
Following Douglas in attacking was
Jane Underman recording 9 kills. Geib and
Alyssa Vorbeck also added eight kills combined in the match.

Allison Hill led the defense, digging up 13 balls. Douglas also contributed 12 digs to the cause. From the net the Falcons defended with six block assists.

The Lions' Maddy Greth contributed eight kills to lead the team, while Morgan Heath added 23 assists.

With the Falcons just past the halfway point of the regular season, Douglas has a total of 167 kills with a .206 attack percentage and Geib has recorded 533 total assists.
The win takes the Falcons' overall record to 9-7, while the Lions fall to 5-10 and 1-4 in the Commonwealth. This weekend, Oct. 5, Messiah will be traveling to Eastern University for the MAC Crossover to face the Eagles and the Bulldogs of DeSales University.
