XML Box Score Grantham, PA -Â Looking to end their two-game losing streak, Messiah College returned home to face Commonwealth Conference foe Hood College. The Falcons defeated Hood 14-0 behind four-goals from Moriah Pfuatz and eight other scorers.

Just 1:09 in, Messiah's scoring started. Off a penalty corner pass from
Celina Nissley,
Gina Kellett scored the game-winning goal. Within the first ten minutes of the game, Messiah scored four goals. Brook Sands and Pfautz alternated goals in that stretch.
Caroline Wulf assisted on the first two goals, while
Rachel Cox assisted on Pfautz's second goal.

Wulf found the net herself moments later, and increased Messiah's lead to 6-0. Twenty-five seconds later
Jennie Kamel found a loose ball in the circle and put it into the cage. Before the half ended,
Mattie Berger scored her first collegiate goal as Messiah went into the break leading 8-0.

Out of the break, the scoring continued. Pfuatz added her third goal of the game and 17
th goal of the season. Hood's best goal-scoring opportunity came 1:40 after Pfautz's goal when they earned a penalty stroke. Emily Richardson stepped-up and shot to the right side, but
Angela Klaczak dove to that side and stopped the ball before it crossed the line.

After Klaczak's saved penalty stroke, Messiah's scoring continued. Off a pass from Pfuatz,
Emily Bower shot into the open cage. Pfautz then scored her fourth goal on the night before Kellett scored her second on the night.
Rachel Cox and Nissley capped-off the Falcons 14-0 victory.

On the night, Messiah outshot Hood 59-7, while out-cornering their opponent 22-3. Hood's keeper Ying Van Schaik made 27 saves.

Messiah concludes their regular season Saturday against William Smith College. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m. on Anderson Field.
