Warriors' Offense Too Much For Falcons

Grantham, PA - The Lycoming College Warriors handed the Falcons their second conference loss of the season Wednesday evening by a score of 13-5. The Warriors outscored the Falcons 10-3 over the final 30 minutes of play opening up what was just a 3-2 halftime lead.

Andrew Harris collected a hat-trick for the Falcons (2-6, 0-2) in the loss. Tyler Goglio and Brian Meenan also scored for the hosts and goalie Jon Weimer collected 10 saves between the pipes.

The Warriors (3-7, 2-1) picked up their second conference win and their fifth-consecutive over the Falcons. Mike Cooper had a monster game for the visitors, finding the back of the net six times and assisting on two others. Tom Lurie and Matt McCaffer added two goals each for the Warriors.

After the teams traded goals three times over the first 34:08 of play, the Warriors offense found some rhythm, going on a 6-0 run over the next 15:02 to open up a 9-3 lead. The Falcons' responded to pull within four at 9-5 but the Warriors would stymie the hosts, adding four more to ice the contest.

The Falcons, losers of four straight, will look to get back into the win column one week from today as they travel to Hood College on Wednesday, April 10. The Falcons and Blazers will meet for the first time in conference play as Hood is in their first season as members of the MAC Commonwealth Conference. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
