Gettysburg, PA - Messiah College's tennis teams each suffered defeats at Gettysburg College on Saturday as the Bullets took an 8-1 and 7-2 decision in the men's and women's matches, respectively.
Jennifer Kitlan and Hannah Lazio took an 8-1 win in the women's doubles while teammate
Britney Hickey took a 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 decision in a singles matchup.

Kaila Hess was able to take a first-set win 6-4, but lost the second 6-1. Gettysburg then took set three 1-0 (10-8).
The other two doubles matches for the women were closely contested; both of them being decided by 9-7 scores.
For the men,
Devin Esch won 6-3, 6-3 to account for the Falcons' lone point. Messiah couldn't get any advantages over Gettysburg in their matches today; there was one 6-0 loss in four of the five singles losses.
On the men's doubles side,
Michael Kovacs and
Dustin Innerst put up the best fight with an 8-6 final score in the No. 3 spot.
The men fall to 0-2 this fall season while the women go to 1-1. Messiah will look ahead to next weekend (10/5-10/6) and the MAC Individual Championships in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
