XML Box Score Clermont, FL - The Green Terror of McDaniel College use a four-run fourth inning to get past the Falcons of Messiah College 6-3 in tonight's Division III matchup.

Brooke Pompeo, Amanda Jones, and Jayme Babczak all had one rbi for the Falcons. With the result, Messiah falls to 5-5 this season, while McDaniel improves to 7-4 on the year.

McDaniel opened the scoring in the 3rd inning when a double to right center drove in two runs. Claressa Mees walked the first runner and the second got to base on a fielder's choice. Mees then got out of the inning with a groundout to short and two strikeouts.

The next inning up, McDaniel stretched their lead to 6-0 over the Falcons. The Green Terror loaded the bases with two outs after a hit-by-pitch, a single, and another hit-by-pitch. An error by Emily Quatrale sent home two runners for McDaniel followed by a single that sent in another two runners.

Malory Rutledge was tabbed as pitcher after the four runs were scored and shortly ended up in another bases loaded situation. The third out of the fourth inning came on a fielder's choice to second base to stop McDaniel's scoring.

In the bottom of the fourth inning the Falcons had the bases loaded with two outs where Brooke Pompeo drove in a run, putting Messiah on the board. On that hit, though, Tina Lehman tried to come around third for another run but was thrown out at home to end the inning.

After two scoreless innings, including a three-and-out for both teams in the sixth, Amanda Jones singled to bring home Courtney Allen in the bottom of the seventh. Jayme Babczak then doubled to left-center allowing Jones to score for Messiah's third run. A strikeout for McDaniel ended the inning and the game.

Despite the scoreline, Messiah doubled up on McDaniel in hits, 10-5. Caroline Brehm picked up the win and seven strikeouts for the Green Terror, pitching a complete game. Mees pitched 3 2/3 innings and struckout four batters in the loss.
